We are committed to undertaking proactive stakeholder and community engagement, to ensure local understanding of our proposals, enable input into the design from an early stage, and maximise socio-economic opportunities.

Launch of early stage consultation  

We are launching an early stage of informal, non-statutory engagement on our emerging plans to enable local communities to understand more about the project.  This early stage feedback will enable us to take on board local comments to help us refine and improve our plans,  

The non-statutory phase of consultation opens on Friday June 27 2025 and closes on Friday July 25 2025. 

We will be holding a public consultation event on Friday 11 July 10am-7pm at Ponthir Village Hall, Caerleon Road, Newport, NP18 1GX.

Consultation next steps 

Following this current stage of early consultation on our emerging plans, we will be undertaking a further round of consultation on our detailed plans later this year.   

During the six week statutory consultation, required as part of the DNS process, we will present our full draft planning application to enable communities to have full details of the project and provide further feedback on the plans.
